Assistive technology (AT) refers to a wide range of tools, software and equipment that pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can use to help overcome barriers to learning.

When used effectively, AT can be an important part of inclusive, high-quality teaching. These materials are adapted and developed from those featuring in the NIOT Early Career Teacher Programme.
